Last week we started a project in Northern California using Scrud Remover Well Cleaner made by Provectus Environmental Products. Scrud is used by first developing an existing well, then placing the material into the screened zone of the well. After 24 hours, we came back and began injection on each well.

For this particular project, our client decided to treat the wells with a planned combined Enhanced In-Situ Bioremediation/In-Situ Chemical Reduction activity immediately following the well treatment. This project was completed using a combination of products from Regenesis including 3DMe and CRS as well as RNAS’ Neutral Zone.

As always, our team set-up a clean and organized project site with a central area for material mixing and pumping. Sometimes, pumping and mixing multiple liquid products can be challenging, but not for Gregg Remediation. Brandon and co. resolved the multiple product issues by utilizing one pump for multiple (compatible) product streams resulting in a more efficient mixing program.

Since the wells had been treated for bio-fouling issues, it is important to flush the wells promptly to move the material out of the screened zone and surrounding sand pack. Once the remedial compounds are injected, Gregg then injected DHC utilizing our “slipstream” valve assemblies located on each manifold leg. This allowed us to efficiently add the bacteria without any complicated valve manipulation, hose changes, or pump changes.

All water used for mixing was pre-treated with RNAS’s Newman Zone OS, and as always it worked very quickly to reduce dissolved oxygen levels and drop the ORP to below (-70)mV.
